Juan Antonio Morales is currently professor in the program Maestrías para el Desarrollo, Catholic University of Bolivia, La Paz. He has taught at the Catholic University of Bolivia since 1974. Between 1974 and 1995 he was the Director of the Institute for Socio-Economic Research. In 2008 he was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Financial Sciences. He served as President of the Central Bank of Bolivia from September 1995 to April 2006. He holds the title of Docteur en Sciences Economiques granted by the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium in 1971. He has taught in universities in Latin America, Europe and the United States and he has published extensively in Spanish, English and French.
